A new piece of software is now out that is specifically designed for drawing wargames maps.

MappingBoard is an application for drawing wargame maps. I am not a very patient person so the idea is to have a simple, easy to use application where you can, as much as possible, just plonk terrain items down on the map and not have to change a dozen properties such as colour and width every time.

I have been playing a few sport sims lately with my favourite being Rugby League World from Lambourne games and available from Owzat Games.
They also do several cricket games but I decided the other day I wanted to design my own. Halfway through the design process I stumbled another now long lost game from the 1980’s called Max Walkers Cricket Game which has a similar mechanic that I was writing already. Great minds think alike.
So here is my Twenty 20 Cricket game that includes stats for the final 8 teams. My first game saw India beat Pakistan by 2 wickets.
All you need supply is 2D6.

Just seen an announcement from Ed at Two Hour Wargames that he is releasing an update to Chain Reaction 2.
And now we’re giving you Chain Reaction 3.0.
That’s right, ‘giving you’ as in it’s free. All the latest mechanics currently used by our regular games, like 5150, All Things Zombie, and the rest.
Due to be released next week. I’m looking forward to this one.

Came across a fabulous blog the other day called Lilliputian Armies.
a website dedicated to historical miniatures, wargaming spanning the eras between the 16th Century through World War II. Here you will find representations and discussion of the smallest of the small, 2mm or 1:900 scale miniatures.
All the tiny armies shown here are homemade and constructed from either single mold plastic casts or cardboard, glue, and styrene strips.
Check it out well worth a visit.
